Bugaboo Bee is the successful creation of Max Barenbrug, who graduated from the Design Academy in the Netherlands. Unlike many who take a minimal amount of effort in school assignments, Max decided to use this time wisely. His idea: a baby stroller that can used around town, on the go and even during exercise. However, there was a catch. It had to be designed to appeal to both parents…especially fathers. Graduating in 1994, Barenbrug aligned forces with successful business owner Eduard Zanen who helped with the inception of this idea. After presenting several prototypes to leading manufactures, and being shut down, the two held firm that the market was ready. In 1999, they would introduce their first model to the streets of Holland and they have not slowed down since.

With a mission to “increase freedom of movement and make mobility flexible, simple and light” they have proven to push the envelope of innovation. There current product line includes:
