Baby Shower Favors

Popular baby shower favors all have one thing in common:they create memories. Unlike your common baby gift, these flavors go beyond the quick trip to the store and simple wrapping paper. So, what kind of favors can be offered at a baby shower. Many sites try to sell you on gifts, which are great for baby showers, but not quite the same as favor. A baby shower favor includes organizing and planning some idea that can benefit the expecting mother. Whether it is a simple cookout, the planning of the baby shower or the offering of some service – baby shower favors make wonderful memories.

Have a Baby-Bar-B-Que: This can be a great favor to host that will not only be one less great meal they don’t have to cook, but is also a great social gathering for the new family. Having a child can be very strenuous and an outing can provide an excellent escape through socializing. This can be an easy favor to host, which also takes the clean-up away from the new family.

Help Plan the Baby Shower:

List – The most important part of the baby shower is the guest list. This can become a major job in itself. So any help is more than welcomed and can take a huge amount of stress off of the family or host. This can easily become a favor if you offer to take over the list and contacts while the family plans the shower.

Food – Since baby showers run shorter on time and do not offer large quantities of food, this can be the perfect favor to offer for those that like to cook. Not only will you be saving the family money, but you are also covering an important task. If you opt to cook the food, remember that this is not a meal. Small entrees and orderves are recommended; otherwise known as finger-foods. You will want an assortment of food that will accommodate a variety of tastes. A successful tip is to look over the invite list and guage the types of foods that should be prepared. If you are not so handy in the kitchen, than offering to pay or help pay for the food is always a generous offer.

Theme – Similar to the invite list, choosing the theme can become quickly overwhelming. Initially you think pink or blue, what is so hard about that? But than you take into account if it has to be neutral, what than? Do you rent the decorations or buy them? How much do you need and how much does it cost? These are only a few of the questions that arise while trying to plan the theme. Some locations do offer in-house themes, but if you are at a location that doesn’t it gets very involved. That is why taking over this part of the shower can really help overwhelmed families.
